It’s All About Me
When God Says “NO!” (My unanswered prayers) ~ May 14, 2023
Last Sunday: When God is SLOW
Today: When God says “No!”
God said, “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts, and my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9 (NLT)
Do you know the mind and purposes of God? Will long searching make them known to you? Are you qualified to judge the Almighty? God is as faultless as heaven is high—but who are you? God’s mind is fathomless—what can you know in comparison? Job 11:7-8 (TLB)
We have to let God be God
Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it’s the Lord’s purpose that prevails. Proverbs 19:21 (NIV)
What is the “Lord’s Purpose?”
What is the “Lord’s Purpose?”
What should I do when God says “no?”
1. Grieve
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. Psalm 34:18 (NLT)
2. Stay open to God
Taste and see that the Lord is good. Psalm 34:8 (NLT)
3. Be Honest about Your Doubt & Unbelief
Dad said to Jesus, “I do believe, help ME overcome MY unbelief!” Mark 9:24 (NLT)
